The trees that line our park and streets are one of the strongest elements of the area's character. Particularly in summer, the foliage of these trees can dominate the neighbourhood.
The original street trees were of species that grow to a large size such as; Plane, Sycamore, Lime and Horse Chestnut. Over time, necessary replacements have been made with smaller species appropriate to the scale of the streets, such as Silver Birch, Field Maple, Red Horse Chestnut and Wild Cherry.
